A Conversation with Bryan Kaltenbach & John Frost.
Bryan Kaltenbach is President of The Kroger Co.’s Food 4 Less Division based in Los Angeles. He oversees 127 Food 4 Less/Foods Co stores that employ more than 10,000 associates in California, Indiana, and Illinois.
Bryan began his career in the grocery industry in 1974 at Alpha Beta Markets. He joined Food 4 Less in 1994 and served in several leadership positions through the years, including store and district management, director of Store Operations and director of Sales & Marketing. In 2006, he was named senior vice president of Store Operations for Food 4 Less. He also served as senior vice president of Sales and Marketing before being named to his current position in 2010.
Bryan is a former president of the Food Industries Circle for the City of Hope. He also served as president & chairman of the Western Association of Food Chains and is currently an Advisory Board Member. Bryan also supports several nonprofit organizations in Southern California.
