Dean Willhite is the vice president of FoodMaxx store operations for The Save Mart Companies. In this role he is responsible for store operations in and retail execution for all 54 FoodMaxx banner stores throughout California and Northern Nevada. Since joining The Save Mart Companies in 2018, Dean has dedicated his work to build efficiency and savings in everything that the FoodMaxx banner does to pass savings along to our shoppers without lowering quality.
Previously, Dean served as vice president of the eastern division at Albertsons-Safeway. His background includes management positions at both Safeway and Vons. Dean began his career as a grocery clerk in Southern California, quickly working his way up to store manager.
Born in Texas and raised in Southern California, Dean attended Mt. San Antonio College. He and his wife, Cindy, reside in Oakdale, Calif.
